
This is the story of true love between Sassui and Punnhun, actually it is novel which is written by famous Sufi poet Shah Abdullah Bhittai. It is one of seven popular tragic romance story of Sindh. Sassi (means months) by religion she was Brahman Hindu from Rohri. fisher man raised the sassi, fisher man belong to the Bhambor near Gharo district. Punnu was the son of King Ari (King of Ketch, Baluchistan). King didnot like his son to marry low-caste girl. So King instructed his other son to bring his brother in any cost. So he went to the Bhambor. So in night he intoxicated to fisher man and his wife and put his brother on camel and left.

Today Sassi and Punnu joint grave is locate at the same place where Sassi tried to search out the Punnu, she could not find out further because her path blocked by the River Phore near the Harho Range. During his journey she faced people who where intend to molest her. Sassi prayed to God for the protection immediately ground below her feet’s started caving to quick sand and she disappear in seconds. On the other hand Punnu couldn’t find peace in Ketch and return after her father allow him to leave, when he was retuning he reached to same place and people told him, story of this incident, the Punnu prayed to God to unite the Sassi, again the ground turn into quicksand and disappear that’s the end of uncomplete love.


I went to this place by Motorcycle, It was one of tough track it all about the off-road and sandy. This track has so many sharp turns and mountain track to cross. It was wonderful experience to visit this place. After reached their I enjoyed the tea near dhaba and refresh myself with fresh water. My whole dress covered with dust. Weather was quite warm, bear the heat of sun.
