
Muhammad Ali Jinnah founder of Pakistan, He was the first Governor General Of Pakistan, after the independence of Pakistan, he died in 1948 and M.A Jinnah last rest in peace place in Karachi city. In 1952 initial stage of mausoleum was capped with simple tomb, M.A Jinnah younger sister Fatima Ali Jinnah and Government of Pakistan decided to make better mausoleum, 1954 Indian architecture was select to build but after it was dismiss. In 1955 Turkish architecture was select to design mausoleum but later his design was reject.
In 1957 Government of Pakistan announced the International competition to design the mausoleum, initially British architecture won the competition and his name was Sir William Whitfield later his design also were rejected. After that Fatima Ali Jinnah and Government Of Pakistan finally select the design of mausoleum, Yahya Merchant was an Indian Dawoodi Bohra architecture who was also friend of M.A Jinnah.

In 1960 President Ayub Khan laid the foundation stone and was inaugurated by Yahya Khan in 1971. In interior complex have further grave which is Fatima Jinnah, Liaqat Ali Khan, Begum Rana Liaqat Ali Khan, Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar and Nurul Amin all these graves are covered by Italian white marble.
Mausoleum occupies land is nearly 53 hectare park, has 15 water fountains which makes this place more beautiful and attractive. Inside of Quaid’s mausoleum big chandelier is placed which was gifted from China. Inside and outside of mausoleum all the time Guards which are belongs to Army, Navy and Airforce present to perform their duties.
It was my first time to visit this Quaid mausoleum, before that I visited this place in childhood so I went their to see his mausoleum in detail as Karachi citizen it is proud moment for me.
